I would have to agree with Sam on this, sorry Becky, but if you are going to run a SS license system, I thinkthe MRT would have to be included. Also, it would have to come before the FOX because the FOX would not prepare you for the MRT, as Sam said. I understand it's a difficult car to handle but I think that any server, with a setup like the STCC, would be better off without people who are unwilling to learn and who just want to get into the fastest cars a quick as possible. I understand some people are already well able to handle these cars but I would imagine there was just as many people who could drive the UF1-XFG/XRG when they began their STCC license, but still had to go through the motions of getting their Silver license before progressing onto #2 server.
The way Sam suggests, to have an AX with a reduced number racers before actually getting on track, I think is a great idea. People who join the server will soon find out that it's not your normal server and learning to handle the car is the name of the game, NOT seeing who is the fastest/best driver.

Seperate for me also, as people have said, it's two different styles of driving. You would need to progress through each class (TBO, Single seater), not getting to the top of one class and automatically being top in the other class.

Yeah, maybe a celtic decal might work, to break up the black. I'm not sure about having the bumpers in the foam color but I'll give it a go and see how it looks. Cheers for that.

Ok, N I K I, I have Sony Vegas 6 but I'd say it's similar to 7 so this is how I would do it. I'm still a noob to this program but here goes -
Attachment 1 - Click Media Generators tab, then select Text.
Attachment 2 - When you choose your text style and enter it into Video Overlay, a Video Event FX tab will open and in that window is where you type your text, then click the Placement tab, to put the text where you want. Then you can choose the effects the text has and other stuff too.

Is this even a Merc? I can't find any Mercs with that kind of grill... well one, a 1952 300SL but it's still different to the one in the pic. All other grills have horizontal bars, not vertical, like this pic.
Ah man, you are going about it all wrong. You are trying to have a perfect setup to be competitive, which IMO, ain't gona happen untill you actually get some full races under your belt. Fiddling wit the setup wont help you get used to the car/track combo.
I would be the same as you, not good at setups yet!. But when I first joined the Silver & Gold server the only setup I used was Bobs Easy Race setup
, with a couple of small changes, and that was for every track. Just to get the feel for the car, RB4, and the track rotation. One thing I did find hard, only because I use a mouse, was starting mid grid and having the decision whether to try to hold my postion or just pull off the racing line and let everyone by. I let everyone by for most of my races there but lately I have been getting braver and trying to hold postion, sometimes making a balls of it and having to do the ol' shift-s thing.
I have downloaded all the inferno sets for the RB4, and the majority of them only need a couple of changes to make the car easier to handle, for me anyway. One thing that's not easy with a mouse is making the tires last the long races.

Well I only ran a couple of races last night, the first one I got kicked when I crossed the finish line and the second was when it came up that I got no points. I should have raced again to see if it was a once off but it went up to 14 laps and my hand was sore from doing then 10 laps.
I need a wheel.

It's not a big deal, to me anyway, not to get points. I enjoy the racing, license progression is a bonus.
I understand some issues still need to be sorted to get STCC into the 'next phase' and if not getting a couple of points is the consequence, well so be it. It will all be worth it in the end.

It was 10 laps, I finished on the same lap as the leaders, ~1min behind.
I'm not sure if something's up with the system but I just did 10 laps of Westhill, came 7th and wasn't lapped , and got 0 points? I'd usually get some points but got none this time round.

It was never ment to be a personal attack of this racer. I was just amazed at the way this chap reacted to an accident! He was never crashed on purpose, but sought revenge for the rest of the race and the next. I just wanted to show people what went on in the race, clearer picture of what I saw, rather than just reading my post.
I appologise for making the replay public, I never thought of it as an personal attack. I didn't name him for that reason.

What's the problem in showing a replay of a Platinum licensed racer wrecking someone else?

So, I was going to type up what I saw and what I thought about it but I decided to just attach the replay to see for yourselves and get your views on what happened.
This was crazy, I was racing on the Silver & Gold server on one of the small SO tracks(~14laps), and when I checked this chaps license he is a Platinum, which amazed me. I noticed him racing before and thought, on a few occassions, that his driving was very aggressive, pushing people through corners, diving down the inside line. And to see what I saw lastnight, well, I only ever saw this stuff on Demo servers. It starts from lap 8, keep your eye on the black and white XRT. I think both could have been abit more aware but lag was obviously the cause of the crash after that. Then the madness begins.
There wasn't many people racing so I don't think many actually saw what happened, but I feel this driving is not on, for the Silver and Gold server.
Just to add, it continued after this race, with the XRT driver actually taking the other guy out right from the start, putting him in the wall, more pitting and waiting to wreck, but I forgot to save that replay.
